Jennifer "Jen" Carfagno is an American television meteorologist who works for The Weather Channel(TWC). The Collegeville, Pennsylvania native is the co-host of TWC's morning television program AMHQ: America's Morning Headquarters and is considered one of the talented and prettiest weather reporters on TV.
In her professional career, Carfagno has covered all extreme weather types, including those in the studio on-camera, behind the scenes, and out in the field. Like most dedicated meteorologists, she has battled the wind and snow during blizzard warnings, sloped through torrential and flooding rain, slid in ice storms, and braced against the wind and rain in landfalling hurricanes.
In this article, we will try to answer some of the most queried aspects of her.
Carfagno is a self-proclaimed weather geek through and through. Even before she started reporting the weather on television, Carfagno used to create on-air graphics and forecasting and contribute to the modernization of the weather warning delivery system at the Meteorology Science & Strategy Department.
And, the one thing that stands out if you watch her reports are, she is crazily obsessed with dew points! The Dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled to become saturated with water vapor.
I love dew points and I try to spread the love about how useful they are!
In fact, her love for this certain weather measurement has earned her the name of "Dew Point Diva." Not only does she enjoy talking about dew points on the television, but she also advocates for its importance in our daily life.
According to her profile on The Weather Channel, Carfagno completed her Bachelor's degree in meteorology from Pennsylvania State University in 1998, just a year after an internship with The Weather Channel.
After completing her studies, Carfagno re-joined The Weather Channel as a full-time meteorologist, reporting the weather on weekends. While doing so, she also served in several key positions at the Meteorology Science & Strategy Department.
Carfagno—who has been with the channel for the past twenty-two years—currently co-hosts AMHQ from 6 to 9 am on weekdays.
To date, Carfango's earnings haven't been made exclusive, and hence it is difficult to confirm her net worth. The Weather Channel also does not state her salary. However, it is understood that a meteorologist's average salary is around $57,060, according to Payscale. Keeping that in mind, it can be assumed that Carfagno does well in the financial department as she has been actively working for the past two decades.
According to one of her Instagram post, as of October 2020, her age is 44.
And according to the Legit, she is 165.1 cm tall and has a waist measurement of 25 inches. Her approximate weight is 52kgs (114.6 Ibs), and her overall body measurements are 91-64-94 cm.
With an hourglass body figure and beautiful dark brown eyes, this blonde beauty is most definitely one of the most attractive weather reporters on TV.
